A subscription library is a privately funded lending library supported by its members. Families pay a small monthly fee to borrow books and educational materials—similar to a gym membership.
Our shelves are filled with books published in an era when storytelling upheld the dignity of family, childhood, faith, and virtue. We specialize in older, out-of-print, and hard-to-find titles that support peaceful homes and deep thinking.
Unlike public libraries, a private library like Fallen Sparrow is free to thoughtfully curate its collection without outside influence. There’s no county system telling us what we must include or what we’re not allowed to carry. We add what is good and worthy, and we cull what is not. This allows us to protect the innocence of childhood, preserve traditional values, and offer families a collection they can trust.
While any family is welcome to join, Fallen Sparrow Library was built with homeschoolers in mind. We are continually acquiring books commonly used in popular homeschool curricula and expanding our collection to support a wide range of educational approaches. In addition to books, we offer the kinds of resources homeschoolers actually use—tools that make hands-on, interest-led learning possible at home. Educational kits, manipulatives, and learning tools are a vital part of that—and while most public libraries don’t offer them, we do, specifically to support homeschool families.
